"I celebrate myself, and sing myself,

And what I assume you shall assume,

For every atom belonging to me as good belongs to you. "

- Walt Whitman

I took my first yoga class almost six years ago, but have only realized what it is to practice when I began learning about Ashtanga from Kathy at Yoga Vermont when I began my teacher training program. (thank you!)

I practice yoga to participate in something larger than myself, and through teaching, I learn about yoga practice from another angle. I feel like that by doing asana, we get to physically experience the innate human desire to search for truth, and I feel so lucky to be able to share experiences with anyone willing to come to class. I like to teach what I practice - Ashtanga inspired, sweaty Vinyasa classes.

Yoga and meditation help me find a balance between my serious and silly sides...hopefully over the years, silly will come out on top.
