Be your own inspiration.
Ally is an avid runner, triathlete and yoga enthusiast working towards her physical therapy degree. She began racing in the Eastern Collegiate Cycling Conference during her college career after deciding she needed a challenge and a goal to train towards. After graduating and competing in dozens of cycling road races, time trials and criteriums, she began running. She lost three toenails in her first half marathon and was hooked. After sustaining an overuse injury and being exiled to the pool to heal, she embraced swimming and decided to give triathlons a try. She has run five marathons, dozens of half marathons and competed in dozens of sprint, Olympic and Ironman triathlons.
Recently, Ally has turned her focus to yoga and in searching to deepen her practice she became a certified yoga instructor. She combines her personal training, experience and formal education into the belief that an understanding of anatomy, biomechanics and nutrition are key ingredients to being a lifetime athlete and a healthy individual. Ally is continually seeking out new challenges and goals to promote personal growth and development. She spends her free time eating locally, cooking sustainably and running her Great Dane, Milou.
